Learn from the past, live in the present, and plan for the future.

Our School

Yucca Elementary, one of 10 schools in the Artesia Public School District, is home to over 300 first through fifth grade students from the southeastern portion of New Mexico. Our small town school in the Pecos Valley enjoys a family-like atmosphere that enables our students to succeed. We encourage them to spread their wings and open their minds as they “learn from the past, live in the present, but plan for their boundless future.”

We invite you to get to know us, and join us in educating the next generation. And of course, let us know if we can assist you in any way.

Breakfast Program

As part of our partnership with families, we offer all Yucca students a free breakfast each day. We serve right after our morning assembly, from 8:00 until 8:15 a.m. Eating a healthy breakfast and moving their bodies is a great way for students to start the day and prepare their brains to learn!

Yucca Elementary Supporters

Our parent-teacher organization, Y.E.S., is full of people who desire to be a positive and proactive part of their child’s education. Throughout the year, Y.E.S. provides our community with many opportunities to volunteer and get to know the teachers at our school. If you are looking for a way to get involved at Yucca or would like some ideas about how you can help support your child on his/her educational journey, we invite you to learn more about Y.E.S.
